Tom proposed the following answer:
Then resize sdb2 so that it fills all the grey space right to the end of
the drive.  Move sdb5 as far to the right as it will go, hopefully the
very end of the drive.  When you click on "Apply" this time it will take
ages to move sdb5.  It always does, it might take 2 hours!
