[Question #78388]: xts on alternate install

New question #78388 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78388

Hi,

on Alternate Ubuntu 9.04 there is no kernel module xts during the install process. Since xts is more secure than cbc, cf. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XTS#XTS>, I was surprised by this.
Will xts be included in ubuntu 9.10?

PS: Will it be possible to put /boot on USB-stick and encrypt whole /dev/sda (and not only a partition, e.g. /dev/sda1)?
