[Question #78413]: program crashing after starting up

New question #78413 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78413

Hi everyone,
I have been using Ubuntu for a long time, and I did a fresh install of 9.04 a few days ago (about a month or two) and I read about this software called apport and enabled it, now I am getting nautilus crashed messages from apport almost everytime my computer is done booting up: it shows me the desktop and then when I move my mouse around to start anything it says nautilus crashed and starting today gstreamer is also crashing and Gdebi, I installed a software called empathy and it installed the following gstreamer packages:
gstreamer0.10-nice (0.0.5-1build1)
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad (0.10.11-2ubuntu1)
gstreamer0.10-plugins-farsight (0.12.10-2)

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, 2.6.28-13-generic and there are the apport reports:

I am the kind of person who tries on different software and remove them, do you guys think that ubuntu isn't the distro for me. I have too much stuff to do a fresh install. Any help will be greatly appereciated....

Vikram
