I have the same exact problem as what MBHAKM reported on 2009-06-05.
I added http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu jaunty partner to the software sources and I still get the same error.

> sudo apt-get install acroread mozilla-acroread acroread-plugins
acroread-fonts

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package mozilla-acroread

I probably have something wrong in my sources.list but I've googled for
about 2 hours and I am at a loss as to what it is.
