Re: [Question #78478]: installer wipes out any data on partitions for custom mounts under /var during install... bery bad!!!

Question #78478 on Ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78478

    Status: Answered => Open

aenertia is still having a problem:
THis has nothing to do with the format checkbox.

there is say

/dev/mapper/vg-0-var

and

/dev/mapp/vg-0-vservs

They are specified as mounts /var and /var/vservs (custom) respectively.

Neither are marked to be formated as they contain existing fs's the
custom /var/vservs path especially contains sensitive vm images.

the installer will mount /var/vsers to /target/var and rm each file...

it's a bug
