Open a Terminal. Issue the command: gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Your sources list will open in gedit.

Look for the duplicate lines. Make ONE ineffective buy putting a # at
the front of the line.

Save. Close.

Do:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
