[Question #78675]: WL driver for Broadcom BCM4322 has bugs in Jaunty
New question #78675 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78675
I was wondering if there is a fix for the wireless drops that are experienced when using the STA or wl driver in Jaunty. I use the same driver while running all versions fo ubuntu and only experience this problem when using Jaunty. This must mean that there is a bug in Jaunty somewhere that is causing this problem. what happens is after a few hours of using my system a start to get frequent drops in my connection which then reconnect instantly. The funny thing is that after it has happened the first time, it never stops. Up to about 6 hours on a fresh install it doesnt happen at all. After that though it happens every couple minutes. I thought maybe a update was causing it but tested that theory and it isnt the problem. Just wondering if there is a fix as I have read this all over the net that people are having the same problem. However, most people seem to think that this is a problem with the driver itself. I know this is not true because it does not happen in other versions of Ubuntu while using the same driver.
