Hi
When you boot up do you get a menu with a few different options for
booting into Ubuntu? If so the 2nd option should have "recovery mode"
near the end of it's line. This recovery mode should get you to a blue
menu with "Fix x-server" as an option. Hopefully "Fix x-server" and
then "Resume normal boot" should fix this problem?
