[Question #79123]: where to get the ubuntu drivers for my laptop
New question #79123 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/79123
Hi, I have an acer extensa 4420-5239. It came with Vista, and it takes around 5-7 minutes to boot up which is a long time. I have been thinking about making a switch to Ubuntu 9.04 and it seems quite appealing, the only problem is I cant find drivers for my notebook at Acers' website since it only have drivers for vista/xp. Please help me, how do I find the compatible drivers for my notebook on ubuntu 9.04 and how do I install ubuntu, I mean do i install it clean over vista or in a separate partition. Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.
