An other thing you can do is Uninstall Virtualbox and reinstall it.

Just download it directly from here.
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/3.0.4/virtualbox-3.0_3.0.4-50677_Ubuntu_jaunty_i386.deb

The non-free extention is just an extension. Don´t know why it´s there.
