[Question #79349]: How to start network manager before login?
New question #79349 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/79349
Hi there I have a problem with network manager.
I usually like to remote into may machine when I leave it on, but logged out.
Previously I would have used the serial monkey driver, so when the computer booted, by the time it hit the log on prompt the network was initialized and started. So I could remote in.
With network manager now, it does not bring up the network unless I log right in. This is clumsy.
How can I get network manager to start up the network before i log in, so that the computer will be part of the LAN, like it did before when using the serial monkey driver.
Thanks.
