Artwork for VV Cycle

Hi Artwork Team,

Please note: I'm CC'ing Ubuntu GNOME Leaders/Drivers board so they could
follow up in case I can't for whatever reason and I think I shall follow
this procedure whenever there is an internal subject/topic to be discussed
or/and such :)

There is NO doubt everyone, not only this sub-team (Artwork) but the entire
community, is/are doing his/her/their best to contribute and invest their
spare/free time to help others. No one can deny that and everyone must
appreciate and see that.

It came to my attention that every time I keep low profile, things don't
really go the way it should. I am sure I have repeated that so many times
to the point I feel it is getting boring and I'm demotivated to keep
repeating the same thing, over and over again.

One of the LOW/SLOW Internal Processes for this cycle, specially when it
comes to Sub-Team is the Artwork Team.

I fail to understand how come a team like the artwork team with at least 4
people or maybe more (active/semi-active) and yet, there is nothing I can
read from them? if you guys are communicating off the record (AKA off this
list), please do say so and prove me wrong. But even if you are doing that,
that is against our internal procedures and guidelines. I am sure you know
this list has been created for the sake of communications.

I don't want to keep writing, I am sure you understand where I am coming
from.

May I remind you that there is zero email about the wallpaper contents for
Vivid (AKA 15.04) and Beta 1 is approaching:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/VividVervet/ReleaseSchedule

May I also remind you that I for one have no idea what is happening in
regard of the new website? I know there is a Telegram group. However, I am
not part of it. You guys need to keep us posted, right? a weekly email
would be great.

You see, I strive to take Ubuntu GNOME community to the point that everyone
is the driver of his own area and there is no need for a leader/main driver
to do everything or remind everyone.

I have brought this idea to your attention a month ago or more.
I don't think we're ready. It might take more than one cycle (6 months) to
achieve that.

*THIS IS NOT A BLAMING EMAIL* :D I am not shouting either, this is just to
make sure you didn't sleep after reading this boring email ;)

One major weak point of this team is: lack of communications and I have
mentioned that 2-3 cycles before. Yet, the issue is not solved.

Another issue is: everything is very slow and sometimes, it never happens.
Logo, website, slide show, etc.

Another issue: Lubuntu Artwork for example has 2 people AFAIK. We have 4 or
more. Logically, our productivity should be double at least. Fact is, it is
sometimes less than half. I could be wrong and I hope so.

Again, consider this as a mid-cycle-assessment or evaluation.

This email is only for the artwork team as it is sadly the slowest team :(

Please don't be offended nor demotivated. While I have super tough real
life and my time is very limited this cycle, I'm always ready for any kind
of help and you all should know that by now. If you need and kind of help,
please do ask.

Quick suggestion: if there are 4 active people around, EACH can cover 6
hours per day. It means if he is able to access an internet for 6 hours, he
can be the driver of this team even thought he is not going to say/write
one word, just accessible. If you guys will manage to offer that, it means
your team will be available 24/7 and I mean it.

This is of course the ultimate utilization of a team. But it is also a
great way IMHO to make life easier. You don't have to spend 6 hours online
replying, chatting, etc etc. NO. You can only be accessible and able to
answer in 1-60 mins for example. That would create a lot of difference.

OR:
You can do that rotation based on days, not hours.
Each day, different driver, and so on.

I am waiting to read your feedback and/or thoughts!

Thanks :)
