Dear Friends.

Now to get something installed. After a day I couldn't get anything
downloaded and opened. It seems to me one needs to be a software engineer to
get video to work, etc.

I see installing is via packages - that you get where when you try to
install Opera or Flock or Skype or TVU Player?!

Skype for Ubuntu did in fact install the Windows way, but I can't find it.

So the joy ended with the successful installation of Ubuntu.

Perhaps someone will restore my joy?!
