Unable to sync files larger than 600MB

Hi,

It seems that the server cannot handle files larger than 600MB. I tried
to sync an iso that was stored in my "Ubuntu One"-Folder. The iso had a
size of 625MB. I waited for round about 2 days but the file was always
marked as "currently synchronizing".

I investigated a little bit, because i had the suspicion that U1 has
problems with large files.

I created an 100MB, 300MB, 600MB and an 700MB file. I put the files one
after another in the U1 folder and waited for them to synchronize. The
100MB/300MB/600MB synchronized flawless. But not the 700MB file.

So i took a look at the uploads, with "u1sdtool--current-transfers" and
the output was:

Current uploads:
  path: /home/toni/Ubuntu One/700mb
    deflated size: 701049584
    bytes written: 701049584

I waited for round about 1 hour and checked it again though the result
was the same.

So the file was uploaded completely but for some reason not
registered/checked-in on the server. In the web-interface it said
"uploading" and in the folder it was marked with "currently
synchronizing".

Is this an error or by design, that the file-size is limited?

Regards

Toni
