Many thanks! The script checked out. My notes have not been
synchronising for a week or two. The script identified the note with
the corrupted date and the proposed solution (resaving in web
interface) has fixed the syncing :-)

Note that in my case the date was not 000 as in your example, but an
almost-correctly formed date (2011-0209).
