  Pavucontrol mic level indicator hangs

Status in “pavucontrol” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Acer Travelmate B113 + Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32 bit (up-to-date)

  Microphones (internal & USB) work fine with Audacity, Gmail-Chat and
  other programs.

  However, it I look pavucontrol microphone indicators they work only
  about 5 seconds. After that, they are blocked.

  Alsamixer says, at /proc/asound/cards:

  0 [PCH]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH - HDA Intel PCH at 0xc0610000 irq 44
  1 [Headset]: USB-Audio - USB Headset - C-Media Electronics Inc. USB Headset at usb-0000:00:14.0

  Without headset, same problem.

  It seems a pavucontrol problem, no matter which sound devices I use
  with the machine.
