[Bug 1097881] Re: Scribus Signal #11 crash after opening local file
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
`apport-collect 1097881` and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.
Furthermore, Quantal reached EOL on 2014-05-16.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases
Furthermore, there was a newer upstream release in the meantime, 1.4.2,
which bring a lot of bug fixing, using a up-to-date ubuntu release (e.g.
Trusty) allow you to run it and test.
I've tried recreating this bug with Trusty and was unable to, given the
information you've provided. Please upgrade to the latest version and
re-test. If the bug is still reproducible please do what I write above.
Do feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Title:
Scribus Signal #11 crash after opening local file
Status in “scribus” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Possibly similar to Bug #206181
When opening a scribus file from within the program causes this error
message: Scribus crashes due to Signal 11. Clicking ok forces the
program to close. I am able to create a new document, save it, and
then not be able to open it again after closing it.
I tried QT_ACCESSIBILITY=0 scribus from the terminal, attempted to
open my document, and the program returned the error report and
closed. The terminal reported:
