[Bug 635456] Re: Printing problems with Scribus

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
`apport-collect 635456` and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Furthermore, Lucid reached EOL on 2013-05-03.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

I've tried recreating this bug with Trusty and was unable to, given the
information you've provided. Please upgrade to the latest version and
re-test. If the bug is still reproducible please do what I write above.

Do feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Title:
  Printing problems with Scribus

Status in “scribus” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: scribus

I have recently installed the latest version of Ubuntu 10.04LTS to update the operating system on my computer from the previous version. At the same time, I also updated the version of Scribus to 1.3.3.13svn. Since then I have had 2 problems with printing from Scribus:
  1. Not all the information on the Scribus page is printed - I am losing the top 2 cm of text, presumably because Ubuntu has pre-set margins for the printer? I can find nothing in the Ubuntu set-up that will allow me to re-set the top margin. I need the top margin to be close to the top edge of the page because it is a publishing programme, and need to be able to use all the space on the page.
  2. When I print a single page, 4 pages are processed by the printer instead of one, with the last 3 pages being blank. This is despite the setting of copies at '1'.

My printer is a Brother MFC-7420.

I had none of these problems with the previous version of both Ubuntu
or Scribus. I hope you can help.
