Once this fix is uploaded you have to install the corrispondent hyphenation pattern for your language (probably you already have one installed):

  Scribus spell check and hyphenation doesnt work

Bug description:
  The spell check and hyphenation doesnt work

  Under Preferences->Hyphentaion and Spelling under the Hyphenation tab
  the language selectbox is empty.

  Extras -> Hyphenate Text does nothing

  The dialog after Item -> Check spelling says instantly Spelling check
  complete

  Ubuntu Version: 14.10
  Installed package: 1.4.4+dfsg1-1
