Title:
  fails to select window

Status in “gtk-recordmydesktop” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gtk-recordmydesktop

  The GUI provides an option for selecting a window to record. However,
  attempting to use this option results in the following output in the
  terminal. As I recall this worked correctly in Jaunty.

  <_sre.SRE_Pattern object at 0x2aa1800>
  _NET_FRAME_WINDOW:  not found.

  Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/recordMyDesktop/rmdSimple.py", line 250, in __select_window__
      if wid: xwininfo_com = ['xwininfo','-id',wid]
  UnboundLocalError: local variable 'wid' referenced before assignment
