[Bug 1436467] Re: Why is libaccounts-glib0 a hard dependancy of an image viewer?

Thank you for reporting this issue.
This is actually used by the publishing plugin, so it is required:
ldd /usr/lib/shotwell/plugins/builtin/shotwell-publishing.so | grep libaccounts
	libaccounts-glib.so.0 => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libaccounts-glib.so.0 (0x00007f1e51cb6000)

Debian doesn't seem to have this library, so it can't build in support
for it. The library itself is only 38k and doesn't bring in anything
that unusual (Depends: libc6 (>= 2.17), libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.37.3),
libsqlite3-0 (>= 3.5.9), libxml2 (>= 2.7.4)).

Please report any other issues you may find.

Title:
  Why is libaccounts-glib0 a hard dependancy of an image viewer?

Status in shotwell package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I don't expect an image viewer to require the single sign-on package.
  I should be able to install Shotwell without it, or remove the package
  without losing Shotwell. The Debian version does not require it.
  Please could you demote the dependency to a recommendation/suggestion?
