audio and MIDI files irreversibly deleted from disk

Bug description:
  [Impact]

Unfortunately I do not have any hard data on this. I can only quote
the ardour development team on the last release of ardour3:

"Ardour 3.5.403 is (yet another) CRITICAL bug fix release. ALL USERS
ARE RECOMMENDED TO UPGRADE. Additionally, ALL LINUX DISTRIBUTIONS
SHOULD IMMEDIATELY UPGRADE/UPDATE TO THIS RELEASE. Distributing
earlier versions of 3.5 at this point is irresponsible and risks our
  users' data.

As with 3.5.380, this release includes several more absolutely vital
fixes for bugs could lead to audio and MIDI files being irreversibly
  deleted from disk.

We still do not know precisely how these losses happened - no user
ever found a reliable recipe to recreate all of them - but reports
from several different users did lead to a careful code review which
uncovered some potential for file loss. "

  [Test Case]

Since reproducing seemed difficult, I never tried. I can only refer to
  the quote above.

  [Regression Potential]

Regression potential should be small. This is not a major update. The
update I am proposing (ardour3 in vivid) is also the last update ever
for ardour3, since ardour4 is now out.

  NOTE TO SRU TEAM:
A backport SRU was chosen since the only packaging changes were to parallelize the build, fix slow arches timing out, and one more data loss bug. There are no reverse dependencies (just the Ubuntu Studio meta package) and this gets us in sync with jessie.
