[Bug 1289161] Re: Blender "connect failed" but loads normally
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1216993 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1216993
missing libraries are not the factor of bug #1216993. I believe this bug
is a LLVM conflict problem same as #1216993.
** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1216993
connect failed : no such file or directory, Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Title:
Blender "connect failed" but loads normally
Status in blender package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Ubuntu Release: 12.04.4 LTS
Blender ver: 2.69 glibc 211 x86-64
Whenever I try to open blender with terminal I expect it to open
normally but that is not the case, I get an error
connect failed: no such file or directory
Then blender loads normally.
blender won't load when locked to launcher. (I believe this is the cause)
I know this is familer to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/blender/+bug/1216993 but I have tried
ldd /usr/lib/blender/blender | grep "not found"
and nothing is returned.
