[Bug 880535] Re: qjackctl blocks audio output on ALSA devices

Hi - this is quite an old bug now. Qjackctl has moved on to 0.4.2 in
Ubuntu's latest releases now.

I have no problems using Qjackctl in Ubuntu Studio (which uses a jack-
sink to connect with Pulse Audio for desktop sounds). Then there is no
need to use ALSA directly.

I am marking this as invalid now. Please report again if it is still a
problem.

** Changed in: qjackctl (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Invalid

Title:
qjackctl blocks audio output on ALSA devices

Status in qjackctl package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
When qjackctl is running, no sound output is possible on ALSA devices.
If sound output is active when qjackctl is being launched, the output
is interrupted and the concerning application blocks. By closing
qjackctl the sound output continues. Ending qjackctl by Ctrl-C on the
terminal, keeps the sound output blocked.

  tested system: ubuntu 11.10 amd64

Using selfcompiled upstream version 0.3.8 does not show this behavior
  but works correctly.
