While the problem was solved, this problem was clearly a support request
and not an actual bug, therefore it falls under "Invalid." Closing as
such.

Title:
  Kernel panic - no booting

Status in Ubuntu Studio:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I am reporting what should be considered a CRITICAL bug.

I used UBUNTU STUDIO in the past (last version 13.10) with no problem.
I love UBUNTU STUDIO and used it also to clean Hard disk with installed on it windows.
Because I used in the past with no problem (last version 13.10. I would consider that the equipment is "UBUNTU certified" - laptop Lenovo E420 11A41.

The new release 14.04 will NOT boot from LIVE DVD.

It reports (in both releases 64.32 bits) after about about 7 minutes using 64 bit DVD KERNEL PANIC,
and will take for ages the boot with 32 bit with no response.

I would recommend that this release be reconfigured, recompiled and
  released after the correction.

The kernel panic reports something like error 970.xxxxxxxxxx

  RAM 8 GB

  CPU intel M2410 (quad)

Due to this BUG this release is useless.

I used in the past the Ubintu Studio with this hardwaere with no
  probleb.
