[Bug 395767] Re: Lyx does not support dark themes

In Ubuntu 18.04LTS you can install the "arc-theme" package that contains
arc-dark theme, then you will have to install "qt5-style-plugins" and
set Qt5 applications to use the Gtk+ 2 style by adding:

echo "export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=gtk2" >> ~/.profile

After that you have to logout and install a dark theme for LyX:

Title:
Lyx does not support dark themes

Status in LyX:
  Won't Fix
Status in lyx package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: lyx

  Hi,
I've been using lyx 1.6.2 under 9.04 with a dark theme (it comes up as custom but I think is derived from an earlier dark theme). I've come across a minor bug in lyx relating to lyx's UI. If you use a dark theme and pull down the selector list (subsection, subsubsection, quote etc) you can only see the highlighted values all the rest are darkened or the same colour as the background. I've attached a screenshot to show what I mean more clearly.

  Kind regards,

  Tom
