[Bug 1857634] [NEW] GIMP crashed upon first open after install on Lubuntu

Public bug reported:

Hello,

I installed Lubuntu dev branch on a Lenovo Y50-70 Touch (product: 20349 (LENOVO_MT_20349_BU_idea_FM_Lenovo Y50-70 Touch). I've been keeping it updated.
I just installed gimp (sudo apt install gimp gimp-help-en gimp-data-extras).
As soon as it opened, displaying the splash screen, it crashed and the GIMP
Crash Debug dialog opened. If I can be of any help, please don't hesitate.
