@jerrycasiano, I cannot confirm your reply.

I am using font manager 0.7.3 in ubuntu 18.04 and it does not provide a
way of installing a font nor deleting a font, even if the particular
font is installed in ~/.local/share/fonts

I also find it interesting that fonts located in ~/.fonts are listed as
system fonts.

  I'm trying to delete fonts from Font Manager (not just disable them).
  After I click the "-" button, I see an empty dialog titled "Select
  fonts to remove". There are no visible controls to add fonts to the
  dialog.
