[Bug 1898631] Re: Installer does not update "system not connected to the internet" message dynamically
Wrong package. (ubuntustudio-installer is for installing packages on an
already-installed system)
Please execute the following command only once, as it will automatically
gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 1898631
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-
bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this
functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.
** Package changed: ubuntustudio-installer (Ubuntu) => calamares
(Ubuntu)

Title:
Installer does not update "system not connected to the internet"
message dynamically
Status in calamares package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Running through the new QT/KDE installer for the first time, my system
is not connected to the internet and the installer throws an error
saying so.
I connect to the internet (navigating a bunch of painful kwallet
messages which should be suppressed... for another bug).
What happened:
The installer did not update the error message, and I was still unsure about what content I was missing by not being connected to the internet
What I expected to happen:
There should have been some event or background polling going on to detect the connection and update the message with the correct content.
Instead I had to shutdown the installer, and restart -
