Title:
  Hydrogen's OSS driver doesn't work

Status in hydrogen package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: hydrogen

  I am running the latest Hydrogen for Jaunty (hydrogen 0.9.3). I am
  using a hand-rolled kernel plus OSS4.

  When I select OSS for the sound output in Hydrogen, and then click to
  restart the driver, I get an "Error starting audio driver" pop-up. I
  am able to use several other OSS-capable apps successfully, e.g. VLC,
  osstest, Adobe Flash Player. To be more specific, VLC works, while
  Hydrogen doesn't, even though /dev/dsp is selected as the output in
  both cases.
