Thanks for taking the time to report this.

Since it is a rare edge case, I propose that a project maintainer or bug
supervisor closes this as Won't fix.

I know at least that the upstream maintainer (which happens to be me)
will not be able to prioritize spending time on fixing this bug.

  Crash when display configuration changes during recording

Status in recordmydesktop package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  While recording my desktop my display configuration changed on my
  laptop due to the external monitor plug being pulled out.

  I'd be fine with the recording being stopped due to this, but
  unfortunately this has caused the output to be corrupt.
