[Bug 1945855] Re: Please remove inkscape from the i386 whitelist
The decision was taken based on community feedback to keep i386 around
for binary compatibility.
That includes compatibility with i386-only packages in the Ubuntu
archive itself, for which ports to other architectures are not
forthcoming.
Given that inkscape is building fine on i386, I don't see any reason
that would prompt reconsidering this for the packages in question. We
continue to get the expected benefits of a reduced i386 architecture,
with respect to builder capacity and development throughput. Trimming 2
more packages is inconsequential.
If you stil think it's important to remove inkscape on i386, please
bring this up for discussion in a broader forum (either ubuntu-devel
mailing list or the Ubuntu discourse).

Title:
Please remove inkscape from the i386 whitelist
Status in inkscape package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
I don't know why inkscape was kept in i386, but honestly I don't think
it has any reason to stay in an arch that is more and more dead and
not really cared of in Ubuntu.
reverse-depends -r impish -a i386 src:inkscape
is not giving me anything, so please consider dropping it.
