The problem has been fixed in 0.9.30, but unfortunately this version is
not yet in any official Ubuntu repository. Meanwhile, if you want, you

  window height ist too big after start resizing is imposible

Status in rapid-photo-downloader package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  After starting the application the height of the main window is bigger than the monitor. Resizing the height does not work - only the width is resizeable!
  The button for creating new folders, jobcodes and so on are out of reach!
