Bug description:
[ Impact ]
* Ubuntu Studio had previously carried libreoffice-calc as part of
its default installation and as part of the ubuntustudio-desktop
metapackage. However, as part of missing libreoffice-calc in the seed
(see Original FFe Request below), it was also missed in the
ubuntustudio-desktop metapackage.
* There have been numerous complaints from users and reviewers about
the omission of libreoffice-calc. This SRU attempts to rectify the
situation.
[ Test Plan ]
* Install (or try) Ubuntu Studio 22.04
* Notice Libreoffice Calc is not installed
[ Where Problems Could Occur ]
* Users may not be expecting an update to bring them libreoffice-
calc, however, this will be shown to them during their update whether
that be via plasma-discover, apt update, or other means.
[ Other Info ]
[ Original FFe Request ]
During the effort before Feature Freeze for Jammy, the Ubuntu Studio
team (with myself as lead) were scrambling with ideas to reduce the
install size image. This was before I had the idea to use ISO-level-3
in our ISO builds, which was eventually accepted to ubuntu-cdimage,
and future-proofed all Ubuntu (and flavor) images for many years to
come as it removed the 4GB file size limit on disk.
However, in this process, libreoffice-calc never got re-added to the
seed and this was an oversight. This has been a large complaint from
our users and reviewers and we wish to rectify this prior to the
release of 22.04.1.
The rest of the libreoffice suite (sans base) is already installed, so
this shouldn't be a matter of additional dependencies as most, if not
all, are already present and seeded. Therefore, I hope this fix should
be trivial and that we should be allowed to proceed.
