Hoping for a better, more official solution once we get some clear instructions on how to properly write the authentication rules, but meanwhile I added polkitd-pkla to the Lubuntu live seed:

Bug description:
  Testing Lubuntu daily ISO dated 30.08.2023

  
  Unable to run Install Lubuntu from desktop as the installer requires authentication (password).
  However was able to run "Install system" from the menu but this resulted in a crash and failed installation.

  Running "ubuntu-bug" also required password but but seemed to run in
  background.
