There are no drivers that appear in that driver manager on either
system.  Its actually the same computer, just one of the installs is my
ubuntu/xubuntu/gnome3 mashup main install (it works, and uses the GNOME
3 team's PPA without UGR), and another is pure UGR(no icon).  They are
on different partitions.

Bug description:
  There isn't a Battery status notifier in the system status area, which
  is a big problem, considering I'm using a laptop.
