Honestly, if someone's desktop machine can't run Natty, then they
probably can't run GNOME 3.

  build fails on hardy and dapper

Bug description:
  Packtools will not build on very old versions of Ubuntu, such as hardy
  or dapper.  The build dependencies listed in debian/control cannot be
  satisfied, as the distribution uses very old software.  These
  dependencies may be able to be loosened - they are the defaults
  imported from ubuntu-desktop/ ubuntu-meta/ ugr-meta.

  This might not even matter, as these older versions do not have many
  users and will not be supported for much longer.
