[Bug 779102] Re: UGR should be capitalized on

 

I'd think we should look into how both Mint and Ubuntu profit from a
"branded" search engine.

I remember back in Lucid or Maverick where the choice between Yahoo and
Google flipped somewhat late in the dev cycle, and it was ultimately due
to revenue.

I've also read before that Mint makes more off of "search" than they do
from donations.

But I have trouble balancing my bank account and I've been on a pension
for nearly a decade, a pension that continues to decrease in value :^(

I'm not sure how selling discs would work? I'd think we'd still have to
provide free downloads.
