[Bug 763843] Re: gnome-shell-extensions crash the whole shell after login
Most likely, the extensions were not compiled for the correct shell
version. I have run into the same issue. If you check this out and it
is not the case, please reopen this issue.

Title:
gnome-shell-extensions crash the whole shell after login
Status in Ubuntu Gnome Remix Metapackages:
Invalid
Bug description:
I compiled and built 5 of the shell extensions (4 were built
automatically, the fifth being user-themes I had to specify with
./configure). I wish these were available in the ppa, but alas.... I
put them in the correct folder (I think), which for Ubuntu is
~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions. The whole shell simply crashes
when you try to log in with any of these extensions in the folder.
You get an icon with an unhappy face telling you to log out. .... By
the way: I deleted all the extensions and all is back to normal.
