RAM?

Did anyone have noticed an overuse of memory running UGR? For the same
normal activity, on ubuntu oneiric i am using 30-40% of RAM (on 2Go) While
i am running basic like Firefox with couples of tabs, Banshee, Empathy...
and now with UGR its asking sometimes 80-90% of those 2Go... Anybody could
help me with this?
