Hello, just a quick note before I forget:

So I think it has benefits to have a “recent” category displaying all

We might also want to consider having a default view. The default view is
usually displayed if no text is entered into the search box. I think this
is when a "recent contacts" category would also be very useful. All recent
contacts would then be accessible without even searching for anyone.
