Great, thank you. I’ll be away on business till Saturday, but I’ll look
into it as soon as possible.

It turned out to be a bug in libfolks itself:

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=665692

But it’s on a good way to be fixed, so I am confident we can stick with
libfolks and python. :-) But maybe we need to provide an updated
libfolks in our PPA.
