Title:
Connecting to different network after resume is very slow
Status in Network Menu:
Invalid
Bug description:
When the system is resumed after a suspend, the connection manager
should start with a scan of available networks and pick the most
appropriate for connection.
Apparently, it attempts to reconnect to the network you were connected
to at suspend, and if that network is not available it takes a long
time to fail, and try the new network.
I often suspend and resume my laptop when moving between different
locations. The system knows about each of the networks in those
locations, but it seems to take a very long time when resuming to
realise that it should connect to the local network rather than trying
to reconnect to the one it was on when suspended.
