(datetime) It's happened 3 times now and one of them was not following
an upgrade. So, it appears to just fail to load on the occasional boot,
like 1 in 10 boots or something. Race condition, maybe?

Messaging menu is still missing, this is a pretty critical bug.

  Indicators disappearing in stable upgrades

Bug description:
  Using the stable OTA upgrades, the messaging menu has disappeared from
  the phone a couple of upgrades ago. Today's upgrade has now caused the
  date & time indicator to disappear as well.

  Surely, this should require some basic test to check the indicators
  are not vanishing before they are approved for upgrades.
