[Bug 1283191] Re: Sound indicator doesn't change when using hw buttons
Confirmed, that seems an unity8/qml issue. The power indicator is having
the same issue (if you change the screen settings from e.g settings).
It seems likely that the qml properties binding is unset when manually
interacting with the sliders
Reassigning to unity8
** Project changed: indicator-sound => unity8
** Changed in: unity8
Importance: Undecided => High
** Summary changed:
- Sound indicator doesn't change when using hw buttons
+ Indicator's sliders stop updating after manual interaction

Title:
Indicator's sliders stop updating after manual interaction
Status in The Unity 8 shell:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Using trusty image 200, pressing the hw key up and down volume doesn't
move the volume indicator shown on screen. Note, the MWC image as of
today is working properly.
To reproduce:
1) Swipe down the sound indicator
2) Press a hardware key to change the volume up and down
3) Observe the bar doesn't move as you press the volume keys
Update to steps (due to broken hardware-keys):
1) Swipe down the sound indicator
2) Set the slider to 50% volume
3) Note the indicator is now showing 50% volume
4) Press the volume up button
5) Note the indicator shows the increase in volume
6) Swipe down the indicator
7) Note the slider is still at 50%
