[Bug 1240561] Re: SIM unlock doesn't accept 5 digits PIN
** Description changed:
My SIM unlock PIN is 5 digits; when I type the 4th one, it's immediately
sent to the SIM.
I haven't retried since I fear locking it for good.
I have seen some code allowing up to 16 digits for SIM PIN and a couple
of docs mentioning 8 digits for SIM PIN and PUK.
I think we should allow 8 digits.
- <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityAndPrivacySettings#SIM_PIN>: "The
- 'Lock' button in the 'Enter Previous PIN' dialog, and the 'Change'
- button in the 'Change SIM PIN' dialog, should be insensitive whenever
- any PIN field contains fewer than four or more than eight digits (the
- GSM PIN bounds)."
+ <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityAndPrivacySettings#common-behavior>:
+ "For the 'Switch to swipe', 'Switch to passcode', 'Switch to
+ passphrase', 'Change passcode', 'Change passphrase', and 'Change SIM
+ PIN' dialogs: * Whenever a passcode field does not contain exactly four
+ digits, or a SIM PIN field does not contain 4~8 digits (the GSM PIN
+ bounds), the main action button should be insensitive."
