[Bug 657842] Re: Selecting running music player from indicator-sound applet opens window one workspace right
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Title:
Selecting running music player from indicator-sound applet opens
window one workspace right
Status in Banshee Music Player:
Invalid
Status in Sound Menu:
Invalid
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
When running multiple workspaces, selecting the running audio player
from the sound preferences dropdown (the volume indicator) causes the
audio player window to open on the workspace to the right.
By way of example, with Rhythmbox running but minimised while on
Workspace 1, selecting "Ryhtmbox" from the volume control will cause
the Rhythmbox window to open on Workspace 2.
In addition, when running Compiz and Compiz Cube with 4 workspaces,
selecting whilst viewing Workspace 4 will cause the application window
to open on Workspace 1 (one logical workspace right).
