This whole discussion started when Thorsten suggested middle-click
as a shortcut for my suggestion of clearing dismissed indicators.
Please don't trample over me like this or my feelings will be hurt. :)

Furthermore, don't forget that there are three different apps
controlled by the messaging menu. I think the default action
should be one that concerns all three.
