Re: On Vincent Moulin's idea of partial global menu in unity
I think those ideas are very good. A greyed out menu would show that it was out
of focus and provide a contrast to the lit up local menu of the almost maximized
window, and clicking the menu would bring the maximized app to focus and re-lit
its menu.
What does anyone else think about this?

I do not think this is a big problem. It is only a problem if you have
one maximised window and a near maximised window with focus. Then a
visual clue is needed to tell you not to use the global menu for the
focus window. Greyed out menu? maybe that is extra noise too much or if
you click on global menu the maximised app comes to the front?
