Having a reduced set of predetermined colours would greatly increase
usability IMO if used in a meaningful way.

For example,

White --> Normal/Not Running
Yellow --> Minimized
Green --> Running
Red --> Needs Input|Attention / Notification


Since notifications in the launcher are easy to miss (just a wiggle), this
could provide persistent notifications in the launcher just like indicators
do for notify-osd.
